Genesis is located in the suburb of Coomera. Coomera is located adjacent to the Pacific motorway, 24 kilometres North West of Surfers Paradise and 54 kilometres South East of the Brisbane CBD in the northern growth corridor of the Gold Coast. In 2012, the estimated resident population was 9,826, an increase of 9.5% from 2011.
Future plans for the suburb include the development of Coomera Town Centre around the current train station with plans for a major regional shopping centre, TAFE and University campus.
It should also be noted that the suburb of Coomera is located in one of Australia’s fastest growing urban corridors. As there is a general shortage of residential land in the central and southern Gold Coast region, it is the northern corridor where the development focus is taking place. It is anticipated that the suburb of Coomera will also benefit positively from the 2018 Commonwealth Games which will take place on the Gold Coast, with much of the activity located north of Surfers Paradise.
